elevator operation no assistance
the location is central, near the metro and all the city's tourist spots. i found it acceptable.
upon arrival, i was given a room card, told my room was on the second floor, but no one explained i needed to use the room key to operate the lift. i sat on the elevator confused. the front desk was too busy visiting with her friends to help me with a taxi. i expected more assistance.

a decent hotel with some drawbacks
great location friendly staff smooth process old hotel missing soap housekeeping intrusion
the location is unbeatable. it is right by trafalgar square (i could walk everywhere!). the staff were friendly and cute. i especially appreciated the smooth check-in process.
the hotel felt a bit old. there was no hand soap in the bathroom. housekeeping walked in one morning without knocking (even with the 'do not disturb' sign!).

noisy unit repetitive selection
the location was acceptable , allowing easy access to many attractions.
the air conditioning unit was quite noisy. it struggled to cool the room effectively even when set to the minimum temperature. i also found the breakfast selection repetitive over the four days of my stay .

solid choice near trafalgar square
helpful check-in perfect location complimentary beverages water station
i found nalin at the front desk very helpful at check-in. the location is perfect with many restaurants nearby. the free tea and coffee were a nice touch. water refill stations are available on each floor too!
The room was slightly dusty with some cobwebs in the ceiling. I think the vents and fixtures need cleaning.

The hotel is close to a tube station making travel easy. westminster, leicester square, covent garden, and soho are within walking distance. That is a major advantage. several dining options are nearby.

The standard queen room was a good size. the bed had nice linen. the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. i could hear no noise from other rooms. That created a nothing noisy.
